SchoolHier is a two-sided marketplace connecting customers with venues across the UK — from football pitches and swimming pools to classrooms and dance studios — handling complex bookings, flexible schedules, discount rules, and split payments.
Working as a full-stack engineer on the core team, I contributed to back-end architecture, API design, and front-end development, helping the platform grow into a leading marketplace for sport and school premises in the UK.
Sometimes booking is simple. 1-2-3 and you are done.
But what if:
On these and many other tricky questions we had to answer on this project to help it become a leading marketplace of sport and school premises in the UK.

The solution advertises facilities across the UK that are available for hire. Whether you are looking for a swimming pool for a birthday party, a football pitch for your local team, a classroom for your business, or a dance studio for your clients — the platform will find the facility you require.
The site has been built as a two-sided marketplace bringing together customers and venues in a more efficient and streamlined way. Each customer and venue can manage their account to complete the required actions to either make or accept bookings.
As a customer you can send a booking request directly to a venue, having first seen all information relating to the facility (availability, cost, size, etc.). The booking request includes all the details required by the venue for approval. The bookings section allows you to review all current bookings, view invoices, message the venue, and handle any required actions (e.g. retract a booking request, request a cancellation, or modify a booking).
The focus for each venue is to help increase revenue while decreasing the time spent on lettings due to inefficiencies and manual processes in the current system. All features have been designed with revenue and efficiency savings in mind.
EZCall is a rule-based scheduling platform built for clinical complexity — automating call rotations, on-call assignments, and shift coverage across departments, specialties, and hospital networks.
I led backend development and deep integrations with payroll, timekeeping, and EMR systems, delivering a reliable, high-availability service trusted by clinics and hospitals daily.
Scheduling a nurse is one thing. Scheduling a hospital is another.
Clinical scheduling has layers that generic tools simply can't handle:
On EZCall I worked on the backend that made all of this reliable — building integration pipelines with EMR, payroll, and timekeeping systems so that a schedule change in EZCall instantly propagated across the hospital's entire operational stack.

UKG EZCall® is rule-based scheduling software that automates complex coverage needs — ensuring hospitals have the right people on site and on call at all times. The platform serves physicians, hospitalists, residents, APNs, and clinical staff across large hospital networks.
A centralized, enterprise-wide scheduling view gives staff and leaders real-time visibility into who's working, where, and when — including on-call assignments and OR coverage. Integrated messaging tools allow staff to reach the right on-call provider instantly, cutting delays and reducing miscommunication.
Mobile self-service lets providers view their schedules, swap shifts, and request time off from smartphones or tablets — anytime, anywhere. Configurable dashboards and reporting give management real-time insight into room assignments, break coverage, and staffing equity over time.
BeImmunized is a US healthcare platform that takes the complexity out of vaccination schedules. It connects parents, physicians, and schools in one place so no one ever misses a shot — or wonders whether they did.
I contributed as a full-stack engineer, building core features for record management, physician-patient connectivity, and automated SMS/email notifications, while keeping the system reliable and performant.
Vaccination is important to stay healthy. But do you know how complex it really is?
Can we automate it and wrap it into a user-friendly app connected to your doctor? Yes, we can — and we did.

BeImmunized is a handy system that keeps every family member's immunization history in one place and makes sure nothing slips through the cracks. The platform serves three distinct user groups under a single roof:
Parents can manage their family's full vaccination records, receive timely SMS and email reminders, and securely share information with both their children's schools and healthcare providers — all from the iOS or Android app.
Physicians get a dedicated portal to follow up on their patients' vaccination progress, flag overdue procedures, and communicate directly with families, removing the administrative back-and-forth from the consultation workflow.
Schools can track the immunization status of their entire student body in real time, drastically reducing the manual effort involved in compliance reporting and outbreak prevention.
